RR 19

The value of understanding ethnography through performance is that it relates to human behavior. We have to understand that the paradigm revolves around various aspects such as: social behavior, cultural behavior, dialogical performances, etc. I feel the value of understanding ethnography through performance can be beneficial to individuals by allowing individuals to acknowledge conflicts that may arise in human life. It appears that in order to understand ethnography through performance, individuals must make connections between human conflict in individual’s lives with the lives of the nation (pg. 177). Individuals can make specific distinctions and “stereotypes” by how individuals act, such as: mannerisms, posture, clothing, the way people walk, etc. The definition of understanding ethnography through performance helps define the conflicts in individual’s lives to conflicts/situation within the nations life.
