RR 18

Since my research pertains to a sensitive topic, I feel that it needs to be viewed through various lenses. I feel that creative art is a great way for students to view the issue of bullying. I agree with the statement, "we see best with both lenses focused and magnified (pg. 254)" because students are focusing in on the issue and will use their creativity to magnify the severity of the issue. This article has made me think about ways in which I can help students focus in on the issue while magnifying this issue. Out of the five criteria, I feel that criteria four, impact, will be the most important because creative art either from the bully or from the victim can make an impact on its viewers. I believe that if people are touched and impacted by their art, change can be made. This was a great article in helping me decide how to look through different lenses as well as using the criteria to help determine the validity and importance of their work.

  1. What lenses are you thinking about using for your curriculum project? Check to see what others have used for their projects from last semester.
